Adding CBT-I to a current therapy plan
Your patient keeps their therapist. CBT-I runs alongside, as a short course with one subject: sleep.
The clinician sets a sleep window from the patient's daily diary, then adjusts it each week.
We treat chronic insomnia in adults with CBT-I, the first-line treatment. Every appointment is over video, so your patient can be anywhere in the state.
Send the five items below however you normally send a referral.
Clinical history helps, but we do not need it to get started.
We call your patient and book the assessment.
What CBT-I does for your patient
The work is specific: time in bed, sleep habits, and the thoughts that keep your patient awake at night.
Patients finish with a plan for the bad nights that come later, and the habits to keep using at home.
The clinician who treats your patient holds an Arizona license and has completed training in CBT-I.
We check benefits up front, then tell your patient what their plan covers and what they owe.
With your patient's consent, we send Insomnia Severity Index scores and treatment milestones as they happen.
An assessment is worth considering for adults with:

Insomnia and sleep apnea often occur together, and each needs its own treatment. We treat the insomnia and refer on for apnea care when it is needed.
Answer all seven questions about the past two weeks. The Insomnia Severity Index adds the answers into a score between 0 and 28. Nothing here is submitted, and no result reaches a medical record at Arizona Sleep Center.
For the first three questions, please rate the current (last 2 weeks) severity of your insomnia problem(s):
A score is not a diagnosis. Go through the result and the sleep history with a licensed clinician. We do not require a particular score to accept a referral.

The first appointment runs 50 minutes and covers sleep history, what your patient has already tried, and their medication. Visits are weekly after that, with a daily sleep diary in between. Most courses run six to eight weeks, and the clinician adjusts the sleep schedule as they go.
With your patient's consent, we send Insomnia Severity Index scores and treatment milestones.
Every appointment is over video with a clinician licensed in Arizona. We do not offer in-person visits. Your patient needs to be inside Arizona for the whole appointment.
Not sure CBT-I fits a particular patient? Book a 30-minute call and we will go through it, including how treatment sits alongside the care you are already giving.
